October 4th-5th- Junk Barn Girls Hermiston - Oregon Come check out our new products along with a variety of vintage treasures from the farm. My podcast partner in crime, Jolene will be with there with her delicious assortment of canned food items. We will also have a favorite things section, where you can pick up some of our go to goods.
October 19th- Farm Fiber Day This is a really unique opportunity to learn about natural fiber dyeing techniques in a hands on class. Sandra Van Liew, who has been spinning and working with fiber for over 35 years will be leading this class. All the materials will be provided and participants will go home with an assortment of dyed wool, as well as a booklet to put their dye samples into. The class will run between 9-12, then participants will be served a farm inspired lunch featuring local foods and wine. After lunch, we will spend the afternoon spinning and working on fiber projects. If you are interested in learning how to spin, Sandra and myself will be there to get you started.
What to bring: - apron, or old shirt - plastic gloves -pen or pencil - notebook - fiber project for the afternoon

Holiday Craft Night November 22nd 6-8 pm
Come visit, listen to holiday music, have a snack and paint a personalized ornaments for your family or friends. Ages 8 and up please. Cost: $15 per ornament *They will be fired in the kiln and ready for pick up between December 2nd and December 15th at your convenience.
Jams and Jellies Class When: Saturday, June 8th at 10 am Where: On the farm...of course! Cost: $30 per person...all participants need to be over the age 8. Join master food preserver Jolene O'Neal for a fun class making both jams and jellies. You will get direct instruction, learn technique and will get to take home the goodies you make! Andrea will also have a selection of tasty from the farm treats for you to nosh on while you work. Sign up by e-mail, Facebook or phone.
Farm to Table-Southern BBQ We are going to be kicking off the summer with a southern style pit BBQ! There will we pulled BBQ pork, slaw, beans, pie and more. James Kindle will be playing live music! Echo Ridge Winery and Burnt Field Brewing will be serving local wines and beers. Ticket price includes one drink token, dinner, and entertainment.

Irish Soda Bread and Bag Class
In this fun class you will learn how to make a delicious loaf of Irish soda bread and you will also learn how to sew a linen bread bag. By the end of the class you will have a one of a kind bread bag with a tasty loaf of soda bread and the recipe to take home. I will provide all the materials and supplies! Just bring your favorite apron and an appetite.
Class Size Limited to 8 - CLASS FULL

Soap Making 101
When: Sunday, February 24th. 2-4pm Where: Black Acre Farm Cost: $60 -supply costs have gone up :( Soap Making for Beginners: - We will go over basic safety procedures - Discuss ratios, ingredients, soap design and the curing process Each participant will: - learn the process of making soap from scratch - make a 9-10 bar batch of soap - go home with supplies to make another batch of soap (9-10 more bars) That's 18-20 bars! Class size limited to 6, so let me know asap if you would like to sign up. Payment due before class to reserve your spot. Love brunch? Love getting your creative juices flowing? Love mimosas and paint? Join us for a fun creative brunch on the farm. We will learn some of the basics of painting bisque ware as we snack on tasty farm fresh treats. Each guest will be given two mugs to paint and personalize during the class. The mugs will be fired in the farm's kiln and then hand delivered or shipped (for additional fee) to the guests. This class is open to ages 8 and up. Florals on the Farm
Come join us for some holiday fun at a class that will bring out your creative side while learning how to make fresh flower arrangements. Perfect for gift giving or decoration your home for the holidays. You will make an all natural arrangement with fresh greens in a farmhouse container from the Portland Floral Market and learn the steps to create something special working with flowers and greens to create your own creations in the future. Class will include how to use multiple containers, supplies you need to keep your make your arrangement and keep fresh for as along as possible. Additionally, you will learn how to hand tie bows like the florists to and use them on gifts to give that WOW factor. You are welcome to bring a small item to incorporate in your arrangement if you have something you love for the holiday but not necessary. Ideas would be candle, snowmen, reindeer or something special to your family.
Please bring your own sturdy garden shears, gloves for handling greens if you have sensitivity in the garden, and dress warm. We will make beautiful creations while enjoying the company of our friends and neighbors. Class is limited to 8. If additional space is needed another class will be added the same day.
Fall Festival
We are prepping up for our annual Fall Festival Day! This year will be the best yet. Besides the usual hayrides, pumpkin picking and fresh donuts we will be offering the chance to practice your cider pressing skills, get your face painted, play games, get your craft on and more! This is a one day only event....it is a lot of work, but soooo worth it. This year all pumpkin sales will go to the Lexington Community Grange Scholarship Fund, benefiting south Morrow County graduating seniors.
